The Reset Experience is a carefully designed journey through one of the world's most extraordinary countries, curated by someone who actually lives in South Africa.
Each of the 10 days has a theme, a purpose, and a moment you won't forget. From Johannesburg's creative pulse, to the wild silence of the bush, to Cape Town's ocean-blown edge, The Reset Experience moves you through landscapes and through yourself with intention.
A soft landing in Joburg: Welcome gifts, an opening circle, and the first exhale you've taken in months.
A long white-linen brunch at a sculpture park in the Cradle of Humankind, followed by a water ritual built around rebirth and intention-setting.
A purpose-driven morning in Soweto, not as a tourist, but in service to the community. You’ll enjoy a soul-filling, seven-color lunch, and close the day with a gratitude exercise that puts everything in perspective.
A day safari in Pilanesberg watching elephants wander past as the sky turns gold, your nervous system finally, fully quiet.
A flight south to Cape Town, where new experiences awaken your spirit. (Like quad biking down Atlantic dunes, laughing harder than you have in years. Or running off the edge of a mountain into the sky above the Atlantic ocean.)
A day in the Cape winelands complete with gourmet bites, incredible views and a wine-tasting at a Black-owned vineyard.
And on the final night, a farewell ceremony with music, dancing, and a special gift made from fabric you chose yourself in Johannesburg's fashion district.
You'll leave with a passport with new memories, a journal full of answers, and new possibilities for your next chapter upon your return.

Our journey begins the moment you land. You'll be greeted with a VIP airport pickup and welcomed into your sanctuary for the next few days, complete with a welcome package to guide you through the week. Spa services will be available for early arrivals, and we close the evening together with a grounding exercise where everyone answers one simple, powerful question: Why am I here?
The exhale begins. A gentle morning of yoga and guided meditation gives way to an all-white brunch in the Cradle of Humankind, one of the most quietly extraordinary places on earth. The afternoon holds a waterfall ritual at a farmhouse nearby, built around rebirth and intention-setting. We end the day with our welcome dinner at a legendary dinner club in central Johannesburg.
Today you experience Soweto with purpose. Not as a tourist passing through, but as someone who came to leave something meaningful. You'll spend the morning with children at a local creche (orphanage), enjoy a traditional "seven color" lunch, check out a few historic spots on Vilakazi Street, and stop by an authentic fabric shop on the way home. The day closes with an exercised designed to shift perspective and foster gratitude in your daily life.
The morning opens with a reflection on generosity and giving before heading out to Joburg's best markets in Rosebank and Fourways. The day winds down in Maboneng with drinks, dinner, storytelling and Black-owned wine tasting.
Today the city falls away completely. A full day safari in Pilanesberg puts you face to face with the Big Five as the African bush does what it does best - remind you how how alive you are, and how little you need to survive. A curated dinner at the lodge brings the group together for a Joburg farewell reflection before the journey shifts south.
Sometimes all it takes is a new horizon. A morning flight south and everything shifts, the air, the light, the landscape, and something quieter inside you. Cape Town has a way of doing that. After settling into our villa on the Atlantic Seaboard, the afternoon is yours to simply take it in. Tonight we gather at the ocean's edge for a sunset ritual built around one idea: when you change what you see every day, you start to see yourself differently too. The evening closes with dinner overlooking the sea, and a conversation about what becomes possible when you finally change the view
Today is about facing what scares you, on purpose. After a guided conversation around fear, you'll choose your adventure: quad biking or sandboarding down the Atlantis Dunes, or paragliding off Signal Hill over Cape Town's coastline. The afternoon softens into free time at the V&A Waterfront, followed by dinner and stories from our day.
Table Mountain is your backdrop for one of the most intentional moments of the entire trip: a release exercise at the summit where you'll leave behind something that no longer serves you. The day continues with Cape Point, penguins at Boulders Beach, and a scenic drive along Chapman's Peak before a private dinner at home.
Today is unapologetically joyful! A day trip to Franschhoek takes you through the Cape winelands, with wine tastings, a Black-owned vineyard, a gourmet lunch, and a reflection exercise asking the question that might be the most important of the whole trip: Where can I create more joy in my life, on purpose? The evening closes with a farewell ceremony curated with music, dancing, and something that will move you forward.
A slow breakfast. A final circle. Words exchanged that you'll carry for a long time. Before you depart, you'll receive a gift made from the fabric you chose yourself back in Joburg: a keepsake that holds the whole arc of the journey. You came as one version of yourself. You leave as another.

Tracey Mutombo is a creative director, experiential strategist, co-founder of CURLFEST, and the founder of Purpose Driven Passports. For 15 years she's designed experiences professionally, for major brands, for stages, for moments that people remember for the rest of their lives. She's also spent 15 years traveling the world as a content creator and travel journalist, with features in Essence, Ebony, Huffington Post, and Travel Noire.
Then COVID happened. Tracey landed in Johannesburg and never left. She met her husband, built a life, and became a mom to a daughter who is currently two years old and entirely unbothered by her mother's ambitious plans.
Living in South Africa changed how she sees everything, including what women like her actually need when they're standing at a crossroads. The Reset Experience is the trip she built from that crossroads experience, but as a local with insider access, real relationships, and a deep belief that the right environment can unlock something in a woman that no therapy session or vision board ever quite reaches.
If you've been waiting for a sign, she'd like to think this is it.
